50's Prime Time Cafe

50's Prime Time Café serves classic American comfort food in a TV-themed setting. The restaurant sits across from Echo Lake in Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park.

The 50's Prime Time Café menu includes family favorites like golden fried chicken, traditional meatloaf and pot roast, cooked the way Mom used to make it—that is, if Mom were a 1950s sitcom star.

Be welcomed into Mom's family and feel at home in her kitchenette. But Mom expects you to mind your manners, so don't be surprised if she tells you to keep your elbows off the table. It's all part of the old-fashioned fun and gentle ribbing that's served up along with the food.

TV Tables and Tune-In Lounge

For a special treat at 50's Prime Time Café, grab a "TV Table" that seats up to 4 diners and has a television next to the table that broadcasts clips from popular prime time sitcoms circa 1955 including "Father Knows Best" and the original "Mickey Mouse Club."

Bop into 50's Prime Time Café for lunch or dinner. Cocktails, wines by the glass and frosty beers are available from Mom for Guests 21 years of age and older, or relax in the Tune-In Lounge full-service bar and sip Dad's Electric Lemonade or Grandma's Picnic Punch.

From the mid-50s knick-knacks and memorabilia that decorate this restaurant to the dessert menu displayed through viewfinder toys, nostalgia is the main ingredient at 50's Prime Time Café.

Work Location

I just found out I will be working at the 50's Prime Time Cafe at Hollywood Studios!!!

12 days....

Is getting excited but I hope the days slow down a little now, I wanna spend more time with my friends before I leave. At the same time I wish I was on my way to Orlando.

I just gotta pack my clothes and I'm trying to wait a few more days to pack them so I still have clothes to wear.

I got my car all cleaned and ready to pack up, so I'm getting there just waiting on the days to pass now.

Day 18

The days are going by faster and faster yet it still seems so far away, i'm not sure if I should be excited or worried about all the new stuff I will have to deal with.

Pros:
Experience
Branching out on my own for a while
Making new friends
I get paid

Cons:
I will be far away from my family
I will have to live with people I dont know

I guess the pros out weigh the cons :)

day 19

As the end of day 19 draws to a close and with Christmas fast approaching it reminds me of how excited I am about going to Orlando.

I'm very excited, very scared, and anxious all at the same time. I have never really been without my family before. I hope that I will have a good time in Orlando and make lots of life long friends maybe hit up the party scene a little bit and just have a really good time.

My main goal while I'm down there is to save up enough money to buy myself a truck :)

Monday, December 20, 2010

Today is the 20 day mark, we are in the final stretch of making sure I have all my stuff together.

I started packing my clothes up since I have nothing else to pack up until the night before we leave like my laptop and stuff like that.

I hope to start getting the rest of my clothes packed up in the next day or two and have that done.

I was also hoping to find out where i'm working but still have yet to get an email about that yet.

I have one tote completely packed and cant wait to get the rest packed.

XOXOXO
