Still in shock

Just 2 days after I made my last post I got the worst phone call in my life while I was at work.

My father suffered a massive heartattack on the 21st, he didnt survive.
I only had 2 weeks left in my program and it was so heartbreaking knowing he wasn't gonna see me complete my program.

He left behind my mom, my 25yr old sister, myself (21), my 18 yr old brother, 2 grandchildren (3 & 4), his sister, his dad, his stepmother, and 3 stepsisters.

We have all been so lost without him.

Daddy I love you and miss you so much, we really just want you back but thats not at all possible. Mom is so numb right now.

This is most likely my last post ever on this blog.

its been forever and a day....

Well it's been over a month since I have given any updates. Well my BF came and we had a great time, all stars movies was great. We went to all 4 parks in 2 days and we rode alot of transportation type things not really any rides, lol.

I went home on my day off on the 6th to see my best friend who was in town. I then went home on the 15th for my Honors Society Ceremony and spent the weekend in St. Augustine with my BF at the mud bog. Well when I went to leave on Sunday my car wouldnt start so now I'm driving my parents car until I get home on the 6th.

I can't believe I only have 17 days left until I'm done with my program.

I can't wait to be home though!

Sci-Fi

So I have been working at Sci-fi for about a month now and it has been awesome. I have worked Fry, Pantry, and Saute. Saute is my favorite station!

My BF is coming to see me on the 20th-22nd. Cast Connection and Property Control are amazing, you can even get select groceries at property control.

When my boyfriend comes we will be staying at the all stars movies resort, I can't wait for the 20th to be here.

Downtown Disney is awesome! I love driving to work vs. taking the bus but the bus is more convenient for gas and miles on my car.

So its been a little over a month since I first got here....

So I was unfortunately struck by some type of stomach bug along with pneumonia and an upper respiratory infection all at the same time. I wound up in the hospital for a few days, but i needed fluids since I was extremely dehydrated.

In better news, lol

I was moved to the Sci-Fi dine in theater restaurant. I'm still getting used to it but it's growing on me.

I have way more hours at Sci-Fi than I did at Prime Time.

Since my last update I have been to EPCOT and my park Hollywood Studios, I cant wait to go back to both parks since there are things I have yet to do at both parks. So I have now been to all the parks, I still have to go to Downtown Disney and some of the resorts I would like to go see.

But for now it is 1:30am and im off to bed

been a while since i have updated....

So, Im on day 3 of 4 of being off this week. I checked my schedule for next week and they have me off for the whole week, which they will be fixing when I go in to work on thursday. I have also been sick, I went to the clinic at walgreens this morning and was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection and the beginnings of an ear infection. Im on some antibiotics and over the counter meds.

So thats what is going on with me, we (3 of us outta 4) went to animal kingdom Sunday and I lost my digital camera at the park and will have to get a new one.

Home for R&R

So I came home today until thursday. I have mon-thur off so it worked out really good. We finally got our new roommate last night, she is very nice. We rearranged our room a little bit to provide better access to the closet.

I work fri and sat then off another 3 days, I cant wait to start getting busy at work.

Animal Kingdom...

So I went to Animal Kingdom today, I rode Everest twice, the safari once, dinosaur once, the triceratop spin once, it's tough to be a bug once and saw countless characters. Pluto, Goofy, Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Terk, King Louie, Balu (from jungle book) (sp?)

So all in all it was a good day

Great Service Fanatic....

So What is this Great Service Fanatic thing you want to know well a guest or employee can recognize an employee for having great service for anything.

They stay on your record card forever at Disney.

I have been working Cold Pantry(desserts) the past 2 days and last night our park had extra magic hours well we got slammed because of it. Well I was just working as fast as I could and after the rush the servers all wrote cards for myself and the guy working in Hot pantry(salads/sandwiches). I got 9 cards, now these cards are really hard to get let alone 9 in one night.

So these will stay on my permanent record at Disney World.

Past few days....

I have been pretty busy the last few days with Traditions, and F&B Basics.

Traditions is long and the only other thing i'm gonna say is ladies DON'T I repeat DON'T wear HIGH HEELS!!!!

We had a welcome party last night here at Vista Way and have another one next Thursday night, we met the Incredibles last night and I think next week is Aladdin and Jasmine (my fav).

2 of my roomies and I went to the MK last night after we went to the party. We had a blast! We first rode the monorail to the MK, then we rode the teacups, haunted mansion, thunder mountain was next we rode that twice, then pirates, and last but not least aladdin's magic carpet ride.

Our other roommate who wasn't able to go will be going with me today, I think we plan on park hopping.

So our internet went down or at least we dont have wireless internet, all 3 of us are hardwired to the modem right now. Beware Vista Way for internet problems!

We have a tech coming but will be leaving for traditions at noon

Hopefully they will be coming soon and fix our internet

2nd day here....

What a day, I unpacked finally!

Today my roomies and I just chilled till around 11:30 and we made a trip to the store for some lunch. We then explored our apt complex and then we hopped on a bus to see where one of the roomies was going to be working. Then came home and just chilled ate a little dinner and now we are fixing to get ready for bed.

I MADE IT....

I got through Check-in, I got there at 6am and they started check-in just after 8am.

You get ALOT of paperwork!!!! You go through about 10 checkpoints at Vista Way and then another 20 at Casting. I have a 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment at Vista Way. :D

I have great roommates and we click really well we are all culinary and 2 of us work at the parks and the other 2 work at resorts.

We are going exploring in a little while and I made Dirty Rice for dinner.

I love our apartment it has hardwood floors and a nice enough kitchen.

Today is check-in and I cant sleep!!!

It's just after 4:30 in the morning and I'm quite annoyed that I couldn't sleep any longer.

I'm gonna try to remember to take plenty of pics and have a pretty long blog post about what all happens at check-in for future college program participants.

After a lovely dinner with my parents and my dad's friend I am off to bed for a 5:40 wake up call and hope to be back on the road by 6 for check-in.

Im very excited about my roadtrip with my parents I just wish my brother was coming, I'm gonna miss that "kid" (taller than me baby almost 18 yr old brother)

Goodbye Jacksonville I will miss you!!!!!

1 day.....

So I said my goodbyes to my extended family and my friends between yesterday and today. I really thought that saying goodbye to my family would be hard but saying goodbye to your best friend is way harder.

I have everything but last minute stuff packed and will be packing it all up tomorrow morning and leaving tomorrow afternoon. I cant wait to get to the hotel and get a goodnights sleep then check-in on monday morning

2 days....

It's getting so close!!!!

I have 2 days almost 1 day left until I leave for Disney World's College Program :)

Tomorrow is oil change in the car day, last minute shopping, and getting everything ready to go in my car and finish cleaning my car out. All before 2pm so I can go to a friends house to hang out one last time before I leave.

I got all my paperwork for school printed out and ready for my supervisor at Disney to sign, all my paperwork for Disney to have when I check in, and my lists that I printed out.

IM SO READY TO LEAVE!!!!!
